All bloggers want to drive traffic to their blogs, but they just don’t seem to know how to do it. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could post blog content and then have hordes of people coming to your site to read it? You could get tons of people to visit your podcast, article or video.

Most bloggers have plenty of blog posts with comments. You have a large following of people that are really interested in what you have to say. The problem is that this is not the way to increase traffic. Most people can’t seem to get a lot of traffic to their blog. This is really the case if they are newbie.

So, this report is going to provide 20 proven and evergreen ways to drive insane traffic to your blog. If you are determined to drive traffic to your blog, then the following tips are going to help you tremendously.

1. Great Content

First you have to have content that people are interested in. If your content is boring, no one is going to want to read it, and they are not going to share it with others. There are plenty of bloggers who were unknown at one time, but once they created that one piece of awesome content, it went viral overnight.

Many times all it takes is for one person to like what you write and that person shares it with the world and everyone likes it too. Also, the more blog posts that are created, the more chances there are for people to read and like your content.

2. Talk about Trending Topics

Another ways to drive traffic is talking about trending topics. If something is on everyone’s radar screen, there will be a lot of online searches for it. The trick is to be one of the first people to provide content about that particular topic. Use this as leverage and get your topic seen first.

For instance, when Facebook made the announcement that it was going to make changes with promotional posts, everyone was upset about this because this change would basically make those posts obsolete. The online world went crazy. I created a post about it, and had very good results! Because of that one post, the keyword “Facebook changes 2015” ranks number four. This sends plenty of blog traffic my way.

3. Write Guest Posts for Others

A smart way to get more traffic is to get it from well established blogs. Create relationships with other established bloggers in your niche. Write guest posts for them, and include a link back to your blog. This can send a lot of free traffic to your blog.

4. Find New Uses for Old Blog Posts

Does your blog have an article that gets fairly good traffic? Why not re-use that post and produce slides for Slideshare.net? You could also use this post and make a YouTube video. This one blog post can be re purposed and utilized for many different platforms. Try embedding media into the post to make it better. Everything that is created on each of these new platforms can be linked back to your original blog post.

5. Leverage Social Media

There are plenty of social medial platforms to choose such as Facebook, Google+ or Twitter. Learn how to use these platforms to your advantage and put your content on them. The trick is to get people interested in your content. Do whatever it takes to get them engaged. Focus on getting the attention of your target audience on these social media platforms. Remember that people will click on your links of you engage them with interesting topics that don’t appear to be spammy.

6. Leverage Social Sharing Plugins

Leveraging social media sharing is also one of the ways to drive traffic. The best way to get people to share your content is to make it convenient for them to do so, and social sharing plugins is one of the smartest ways to do it. There are a lot of blogs that don’t display these plugins, and they are missing out on plenty of good traffic. Don’t let your blog become one of these blogs. When people see social sharing buttons on a site, they are more like to share that content with others. I like to use the Monarch plugin.

7. Go to Conferences that are in Your Industry

You can get a lot of exposure for your blog if you interact face to face with those who are in your industry. This is something that can help build up your online business quicker than other things. Go to conferences and actually talk to others. Build relationships and form strategies that can get you ahead. This is how movers and shakers become successful, and it can bring in a lot of traffic for your blog

8. Participate in Podcast Interviews

This can bring a lot of traffic to your blog over time. Form relationships with the people in you niche who produce podcasts. Ask to be interviewed and provide useful information that will appeal to others. Get them interested and then make your pitch. You might not get what you want a lot of times, but the more you do this, the more you will get good at it and eventually get more traffic.

9. Interview the Movers and Shakers in Your Niche

If you interview movers and shakers in your industry, they may forward your post to others in the industry. But make sure that you make them shine in the post. People want others to brag about them and show them in a good light. Create posts that give them what they want, and you might get what you want, which is more traffic.

10. Create a Questions and Answers Post About the Movers and Shakers

Create a list of questions and send them to some of the movers and shakers in your niche. Create a post that lists some of their best answers. You can gain from doing this for two reasons. First, it will give you some really great content to post on your blog. Second, the movers and shakers may forward your post to their blog readers.

This is different from the previous type of post because you don’t need their help in any way. Instead, you will create your own list of influential people. Talk about some of their best characteristics and the things that they have done successfully. 12. Create a Blog Network of Sorts

When I first started one of my blogs, I wanted to get exposure for it very fast. I did my research and found about 80 other blogs that talk about the same things that I do. I initiated relationships with them. Some of the bloggers responded, but other didn’t. That’s okay because I still get traffic from the ones who responded to me, and that has been four years ago.

13. Give out Your Business Cards

Okay, business cards are still very relevant, even if you are online. These can still bring in plenty of traffic for your blog. The other day a person asked me about how I conduct business. I could only tell them so much since time was limited. But I gave him a business card and told him about how he could be my free training. Now, that may have worked with one person; however, I have one more person who is going to visit my blog. That’s one more than what I had previously.

14. Attend Events and Meet People

Meet people and network as much as you can. Meeting face to face with others who are trying to do the same thing as you gives you extra chances to make connections. Form relationships with these people because they can show you additional opportunities. Join websites such as Meetup.com so that you can meet others in the areas around you.

15. Build up Your Own Traffic

How are you supposed to do this? You can do it by creating an email list. People visit your blog, and this is the perfect time to get their email addresses. The trick is to offer them something valuable so that they will give you their addresses without much fuss. Build up a list of subscribers and send emails to them when you want to provide new and useful information. This will result in return visitors to your blog.

Many times if I see a great article, but it does not have a picture, I sometimes don’t like to share it. 19. Learn to Leverage Your Analytics Data for Posts

I looked at my analytics information and was amazed to see that I was ranking for a lot of keywords in my niche, and this was all by accident. I was not trying to rank for these terms. This means that if I actually try, I might be able to dominant many keywords in my niche.

My goal is to start creating posts with these keywords, which will most likely bring in more traffic for me. It could possibly dominate the key spots for many keywords. Also, these are just a few of the terms that I rank for right now.

20. Make Use of Your Email Signature

Make sure that your email signature is optimized whenever you send out an email. This is a good time to expose the reader to your blog. You can even put a call to action in your email signature. You will find that numerous people will follow the links just out of curiosity.
